How do I deal with all of CDM 2007 in small projects where there's no CDM co-ordinator?
In simple projects, where there is little risk of injury or ill-health, clients may not need help and are not expected to set up complicated management arrangements.
Where they do need assistance they should, as in business health and safety generally, have access to competent advice. (Regulation 7 of the Management of Health and Safety at work 1999, requires every company to have access to competent advice). see our complete solution pages for details of our retained client services.
Where a small construction project poses significant safety risks or is made up of a number of smaller sites and construction phases clients should consider appointing a CDM co-ordinator or some other source of construction safety advice. See our pages on H&S advice for smaller projects we provide.
