Risk Assessments
Regulation 3 of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 makes it a legal requirement for all employers and the self-employed to conduct an assessment of the risks associated with work activities and their environments. Where five or more persons are employed, a record of the significant findings must be kept.
Risk assessments must be suitable and sufficient in the eyes of the courts. Our consultants will train your staff members on how to assess risk and will assist them until they are competent and feel confident in doing the job unaided.
Our Risk Assessment service includes:
Fire risk assessments for all business premises
Workplace risk assessments covering a specific place of work
Generic and specific risk assessments covering processes carried out as part of the working system
- CoSHH risk assessment for any substance which is hazardous to health
- Noise risk assessment
- Environmental risk assessment
- Pregnant and nursing mothers risk assessment
- Young persons risk assessment
- Display screen equipment risk assessment
- Construction project risk assessment
We can also undertake higher level assessments such as Management Overview Risk Tree (MORT), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Event Tree Analysis (ETA) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA). They usually require the development of a team from within the company chaired or assisted by our consultant.
